As a former B2B SaaS marketer, I always faced bottlenecks with design.
Many marketing projects require creative deliverables, whether it's a new product launch or a paid ad campaign.
Despite the need, many marketing teams don't have the design resources to execute projects as fast as they would like.
I've experienced and seen the following common design challenges across SaaS marketing teams:
1) Using traditional agencies: Typically, they're very expensive, inflexible, and slow. They aren't keen to handle the day-to-day design requests required by marketers.
2) Using in-house members: It can be difficult to get budget approved for a dedicated full-time marketing designer. And if product designers are your only design resource, your marketing requests usually aren't a top priority.
